They really do, at least a few times a week. I'm here every day. It's also never anything like "so I did a thing. Has anyone else got relevant anecdotes so this thread isn't all about meeee," either.

And no, the posters usually say "this happened to me. How was your day, FS?" and try to engage people instead of reporting on their daily lives as though we should be automatically interested.

Ambulance thread above is at least an extreme or unusual occurrence. This is just a blog.

A THING HAPPENED TO ME HALP is one of the most common subjects on the second page. It's that or I LIKE THING DO YOU LIKE THING or WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NORWEGIAN RACECAR DRIVER RAREPAIR and MY CLICKABLE DRAGON LOOKS UPSET. The difference is that Ill_Omened doesn't do it on anon.

Difference being that "OMG, THIS HAPPENED HALP!" and "TELL ME ABOUT..." are both calls for comments/suggestions. This is literally just "I did a bad thing (and will provide no context)."

Ouch. And yeah, I get the whole "I know better than to do this" line of thought but sometimes it's just impossible to stop. Especially when you're right/in the right/think you're right.

I hope there's no lasting damage! And hey, there could be some residual good to come of it if the senior officer isn't well liked.

But...where you right? Was this an on-going issue that nobody else had the courage to say anything about? Is this person a dick that everyone hates?

So long as you're not going to get fired/demoted/harassed over it, maybe it'll be a good thing?
