I'm curious, why did you think it was an awful movie? Was it missing something you wanted to see or did you have a problem with the acting or was it something else?

I'm just really curious because while I know people who aren't interested to see it, I don't know anyone who's seen it who didn't like it.

I wasn't interested in seeing it to begin with, but people kept telling me it was excellent, so I went and hoped to be wowed.

I was bored to tears and didn't really care if the characters lived or died. I just wanted something exciting to happen. It was pretty to look at, but it was an hour and a half of "Should I just walk out or should I stay because I paid $30 to see this?". I stayed, but in the end I felt like there was a lot of buildup and very little reward. I've never considered leaving a movie early before, and I've seen some bad ones.

ayrt

1 ticket + 3D glasses, 1 popcorn, 1 drink = $27 and some change, I think

1 popcorn, 1 drink

There's your problem. For goodness sake, don't ever by snacks at a movie theater unless it's an art house place that really needs the money or a budget theater that's already cheaper anyway. Go out to eat after the movie.

Some people like to snack while watching a movie. Deal with it.

I think it's a movie that people who aren't really interested in going should avoid. I loved it but I can see why someone else wouldn't. It isn't a movie for casual viewers (meaning people who are just along with friends or going just because they have nothing better to do).

Really? It seems like the best movie for that. But you have to be interested in special effects and space stuff.
