Re: Bedtime

I try to go to bed around midnight, because it takes me at least an hour or two to fall asleep, plus I can't sleep longer than an hour at a time, and I want to wake up and log in to my work account at nine. So if I want to get 6-7 hours of sleep by 9, need to have the lights off around midnight.

Sometimes I'm just not feeling well though, and turn off the lights at 7pm just because I don't want to be awake and cognizant of my body anymore. Not that I fall asleep before 2-3am even then either, but maybe I doze off a little here and there.

And then some days I'm actually NOT feeling awful and am trying to cram as much into a good health day as possible, and wind up till 3am doing stuff, which makes me feel even worse when I get up the next day and I wind up being really glad my job is on a flex schedule. :P

(I think part of my problem is that I'm naturally nocturnal. Like you know how third shift jobs are supposedly bad for people's health and mood and so on because it's not their natural way to stay up at night and sleep during the day? I never felt more healthy and more energized than I did when I was working third shift. Two separate points in my life I moved from a day shift to a night shift at the same job, and both times my health and mood and energy improved drastically. I love my current job, but I do miss being able to be nocturnal.)
