Not Op and girls do too, actually.

Boys have someone who is 'like them' to be a role model and girls learn to be able to accurately judge and trust men. It's still good for kids to have good adult contact with men and women.

Men and women teach children in different ways and structure their lives differently. Single father's have been shown to have more order in their and their child's daily lives. Men teach language differently than women; Women are more likely to baby talk where men use full sentences. Men allow their kids to do things that expand their boundaries where women tend to be more protective. Women (especially single mothers) take their kids to the doctor more.
