Now that you mention it, the smell (and the sound of the crinkling plastic) is pretty much childhood personified, isn't it? ;) I think it may be nostalgia that makes me still like them... that and Pixi Stix, which they are just the solidified version of. (I don't remember ever getting Pixi Stix while trick-or-treating, though, or I'd have brought them up sooner.)

Well also, like I said, the array of colors. Different colors, but aesthetically pleasing all together. Sadly I enjoy M&Ms less than I used to because they've moved away from the earth tone theme I liked so much as a kid. Light brown was always my favorite. :/
