What exactly is feared? I'm just wondering what is DANGEROUS ON MY INTERNET so seriously, why haven't I heard of any of these concerns? If people are worried about the decisions we make, how about actually dropping us a line!

...So essentially, "We want changes but we won't tell you what these changes we want are because it's too dangerous to talk to the mods about the changes only mods can make, so we'll just bitch in unrelated communities about how we can't get changes because the mods won't make changes for us"?

I have advice: Face your fear, talk to the mods, and see if you are proven right or wrong before assuming you'll be proven right.

Facing your fear may relieve the problem entirely, or it may provide you with a valid protest to take public.

Not facing your fear is a) cowardly and b) makes something like this just turn into meanness rather than any attempt to actually deal with things. And why someone would want to be mean instead of deal with things? I don't know, but I don't like it.

Talking to the mods tends to end in BAD THINGS, unfortunately. Judging by my flist, there's more than one player who got heat for it. I can understand how that would make people not want to talk to anyone they don't thoroughly trust.

. . .WHAT DANGER man! I can't think of anything for anyone to be afraid of in a private moderator email! I can't even think of anything official, three people that have been banned in the history of CFUD after lots of warnings and one of them is back. I CAN'T PUNCH ANYONE IN THE FACE OVER THE INTERNET, I MEAN, THAT'D BE REALLY COOL AND ALL.

WELL I'D MUCH PREFER TO TAKE OUR BUSINESS INTO EMAIL as doing this in a public venue is a smidgen rude since I'm almost required to mention names, but if Anon insists.

Do you mean warnings or strikes that we give? For actual suspension suspensions, I believe we've done that all of twice, with the first being back in 2005 (so I have zero memory of it o/) and the second for a more personal "because she WAS our friend" reason I'm not willing to air in public out of respect for said player darling. It's our players' business if they want to discuss warnings and personal issues, and unless they choose to share it, it's not yours.

If there's a problem with cliques or needed clarifications, I'd really much rather all of you anons make fake accounts to email us with since I am not comfortable discussing the two above occurrences here. If you would like to discuss it with us in-depth, our emails are in the CFUD userinfo. The mods (and players) are backing out of this thread and leaving the decision of keeping up the dialog in private to you.

SEE BIZ'S REPLY, do you mean the ONE temporary suspension? Because yes, it's basically entirely up to the player whether or not that's up for discussion in the first place.
