Never thought of that. Poor dude.

Fantastic secret making. Excellent.

I totally get where you're coming from. also, I'm sorry about the headaches.

[personal profile] thezmage 2013-10-30 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I understand, I can't watch Pacific Rim for a similar reason. You know their headache goes away when they evolve, right? Have you tried thinking of it that way?

I was about to say this. That's once reason why I like to evolve mine.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-31 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
How interesting! I kind of feel the opposite way re: Pacific Rim, especially about the Newt/Hermann/kaijin drifts. I can sympathize with getting the shit knocked out of you for the sake of work, and it makes me feel better about my circumstances, and more inspired to push harder.

I haven't gotten past the trailer, the concept of sharing minds squicks me out so much. Just that quick scene in the trailer of two pilots moving simultaneously brings up thoughts of my limbs not being my own, and all of my joints start aching as my muscles strain against commands that they aren't being offered. That's my problem. No way I could take two hours of that in the theater.

ayrt

I definitely see how it could weird someone out. I have an identical twin and we regularly have freaky "shared minds" moments, so the idea of sharing a mind is less weird to me. Actually kind of comforting.

It's really nice to have someone who knows exactly what you want to say and mean to do, even before you finish. You're never really alone.

Huh. Maybe that would depend on whether you grew up being used to it or not! idk about the control thing though - That's a whole 'nother animal, if I were thinking about it in terms of how I'd experience it.

Watching it wouldn't bother me, in fact quite the opposite because shared minds/souls + same body is one of my favorite tropes (perhaps the reason YGO was my first big fandom). But I don't really get out to see very many movies so I haven't seen it yet.

Same body I could deal with. It's that they're two separate bodies that gets to me.

Huh...how does that work then? (don't worry about spoiling me, haven't decided if I'm really interested in this movie yet)

I can sympathize, OP. :(

I also have a strange relationship with psyduck because its name sounds similar to my name; and the guy I had a crush on in high school used to call me psyduck. He even gave me psyduck cards, which are still stashed somewhere in my room.

I'm sorry about your head. Maybe I could help you with it? Lie down

Honestly, go to hell. You're not even an entertaining troll, you're just a sad, idiotic neckbeard.

(Anonymous) 2013-10-31 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Do you ever get tired of yourself? Because we do.

I have always bonded with Psyduck cause of my migraines. Though I actually purposely go for them so I can evolve them and make their headache go away.

[personal profile] lyndis 2013-10-31 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't empathize with it until I started getting headaches all of the time. Since I have TMJ I get earaches a lot so I almost ALWAYS have a headache. Stress makes them worse, too, ugh. So I really feel bad for Psyduck. However, you can end its pain by evolving it into Golduck, which iirc doesn't have the headache problem!

[personal profile] blitzwing 2013-11-01 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Evolve it into Golduck. That will take away its pain.
