This might blow your mind but it's possible to know stuff about countries you've never been to. It's called geography and they teach it in schools

Perhaps you missed the part that said a Master's degree? 18+ years of school?

Manners are also taught in school but you were obviously out those days.

I think the point was that 'if you managed to get a degree you managed to sit through a geography class or two'.

And manners are not really thought in school, beyond 'do what you're told'. Your family's supposed to teach you manners.
