That may be what OP meant, but if that's the case? That's bad slash. It's hardly something that occurs throughout the genre, and it's like complaining about any other category based on the worst stories.

Not everybody has to like slash/femslash/het, of course, but these debates would be a lot easier if people admitted that there's badfic in every genre.

SA Maybe their fandom has been flooded with bad slash? Yeah, with you on the bad slash part. I'm not going to like a story if they have to destroy characterization to do it. It really doesn't make me believe in the pairing.
