Yessssss. I ranted about this during the whole "leftenant" debacle but people absolutely do transcribe the dialogue of one dude with a mild Scottish accent as if he were speaking like Fat Bastard and it grinds my gears so hard that it's an immediate backbutton. Also the itch to write a fic in which his dialogue is written normally, but all the American characters' dialogue is transcribed phonetically with the most heinous redneck drawl keeps growing, and growing...
