dumbest thing I've done today

I dropped a vial of e. coli in bio lab. Thankfully, this was after they'd been treated and killed, but I feel sooo stupid. I hope this makes somebody feel better about dumb things they've done. Anybody else want to vent?

I woke up late and missed my carpool to work. It wad because my phone died, but still. Thankfully my roommate drove me or I would have been really late ~_~

Dumbest thing I did today was wear my underwear backwards. without realising it.

Not today but yesterday and the day before I was the biggest clutz in the world, I kept dropping shit, knocking things off my desk/tables, spilling drinks, walking into doors/doorjambs. It was like I had pissed off the universe and it was getting revenge.

That is a very impressive dumb thing. A bunch of the horror games I've been playing today center around a city getting wiped out because of a disease epidemic, so this was very relevant and timely, haha.

For me, the dumbest thing I accomplished was not getting to sleep until about 9:00 in the morning, and then waking up at 2:00 PM. Then again, a wicked storm front had moved in, and for whatever reason, my body just refuses to be able to deal with acute weather phenomena like a normal human being. So my brain and body refused to shut down because it was too busy freaking out about the storm moving in.

The upshot is that this has been a very surreal Halloween, because I was coming down from the headache that came on in my sleep, and half the day had gone by before I was conscious.

Today I went out with the intention of going to the store to get Hallowe'en candy to give out tonight. On my way there, I passed a store that had a skeleton decoration in the window, and I thought "Oh, right, it's Hallowe'en! I forgot!" Then I remembered where I was going. >.< idek

Got so busy with Halloween prep that I forgot to bring back the garbage cans until after it started raining.

And then most of my Halloween prep went to waste because of the rain.

I came into work 30 min early because I thought I started at 4:30 and so I rushed out of the house and got soaked waiting for the bus, which was late so I was freaking out I'd be late for work when not really.

I've broken multiple things in labs before. I had one lab TA a couple years ago who had a rule that if someone broke a piece of glass the class had to give them a standing ovation. It actually worked to ease the tension and make everyone laugh about it.

Uh, the dumbest thing I've ever done that comes to mind quickly was walk into the men's room after an event in one of our buildings, and not realize right away what I'd done. I just stood there stupidly looking around then I was like wait. and the guys there were feeling p. awkward I think they're like "uh..."
