Yeah, I feel weird for not caring. I'm more interested in the fact that older teens and adults get so excited about it. I feel like I missed the part where it was cool for adults to like Halloween. When I was a kid you stopped doing Halloween in high school.

Adults, at least young adults, like pretty much every holiday that can be used as an excuse for drinking, at least in my experience.

On a similar note, I feel like there's a really short gap between the time when you stop doing Halloween because you're not a kid anymore, and the time when you start doing it again, albeit in a different way.
