In my opinion, only when they are directly donating money from what they create (OSC's novels) to something that hurts other people.

So, not the movies, because the money isn't going directly to OSC alone, and IIRC the production company is donating money to pro-LGBT+ groups (I'll have to double check before I go see it, though, personally), but the books. Or get them from a library! Which (in my opinion) should be the first thing you do anyway.

...But that could just be me. >_>;
