But that's all anybody seems to talk about. And it doesn't change once you get into the fandom because that's mostly what the fandom focuses on. It's quite grating.

The fic exchange that just happened was mostly gen. I got a story about Tamika Flynn. Not to de-anon myself early, but the one I wrote only referenced Cecil and didn't have anything about Carlos.

The last piece of art I looked at was StrexCorp-centric. The last one I drew myself involved Cecil, Kevin, and Khoshekh. In the past few days Twitter and Tumblr have both been circulating posts of various WtNV-themed pumpkin carvings -- here's one, and it's 25% Cecil/Carlos-related, 75% not.

I've seen a zillion interpretations of the angels. Both of my housemates have Glow Cloud T-shirts. An episode came out just yesterday and I've already seen several different interpretations of Megan and Computer. The episode from two weeks ago spawned a bunch of young!Cecil art, fic, and general interest.

I'm a Cecil/Carlos fan myself, so it's not like I've had to actively avoid the pairing to get these results. They're out there! They aren't even hard to find! I can completely understand how all the stuff produced for the juggernaut ship would be annoying to a non-shipper -- but I don't understand how you can miss that there's a perfectly respectable amount of non-shippy stuff happening too.
