Your mom sounds like my dad. I don't remember a lot of my childhood because I don't like to think about it, but he was definitely abusive to me. If you can leave your house, I would. My dad is the reason I went away to college, but now that my parents are divorced, and he's out of the house, I'm moving back. Just get as far away as you can and tell your sister/brother what she said to your niece. That's not okay. I hope everything turns out okay. <3333
