AYRT here - he's complaining he had to study something he didn't want to, something he didn't have any motivation to study and thus found hard to study, and something that ostensibly he didn't think would be useful to him (or as useful as learning another language, like Mandarin or Spanish).

I'm not a huge proponent of mandatory Swedish lessons in Finnish schools but I just hate people who think it's the end of the world that they had to learn something they didn't want to learn, instead of looking on the bright sides, like the fact Swedish is pretty easy to learn, and knowing it gives you employment opportunities in Sweden and elsewhere in Scandinavia. He was even annoyed the fact that our bilingual country occasionally has bilingual road signs. It's just like ..stop complaining. There are so many bigger issues.

Needless to say, I stopped responding to him after a while. Even if he had been cute, I really dislike people who have such a big chip on their shoulder about this issue.
