Technically, anyone who has extra money and LIVES IN THE RIGHT REGION can legally purchase stuff on the internet. If DVDs and blu-rays weren't region-locked, I'd agree with you. But the vast majority of them are, and if you can't afford a region-free DVD player (as far as I know, there's no such thing as a region-free blu-ray player), you're shit out of luck.

I live in Europe, Romania. Amazon doesn't even ship here.

I just watch my dvd on the computer. I have no idea if anything works on my dvd player.

So basically I'm good anyway? (unless they region-lock them for computers too. ^^)
