Have they actually said that in the show? Haven't watched season three. I only ask because Melissa Ponzio, who plays his mother, actually has Native American ancestry, not Mexican.

The writer has stated that Melissa McCall's maiden name is Delgado, and Posey has said in an interview that Scott is Mexican. So it's semi-canon I guess?

I don't know either. He plays Giovanni on Rizzoli & isles, which is the only place I know him from I think. Oh, and apparently according to IMDb he was also Mike in the Sunday episode of Stargate Atlantis, the guy that talked Elizabeth into the date on the pier. Haha. Well those aren't two of my favorite characters ever. ;)

oh yeah he is a man. I was lolling at man of colour, I guess I always think of him as being the clueless kid in the first few episodes.

But outside the show, he is a man, and he has facial hair :)

I dislike the whole separation of POC and white in the hispanic culture, I didn't grow up in South America so I'm sure the experiences are different, but I really don't like the idea of identifying as white just because I'm a bit paler than my brother. I've spent too many years being treated like shit by wog-hating white kids to feel comfortable with that.

The character is mexican-american I believe, which according to fandom means the character is a minority and not liking him is racist. Also if you complain about the shows lack of diversity Scott-stans like to run in and claim you're racist because obviously Scott is there to fill all of the diversity quotas.
