I almost put in a similar secret several months ago. I even made it, but then I didn't submit it because I chickened out. But I agree. I was so so sick of the "disliking Scott is racist" meme. Or worse, the "having favorite characters that are not Scott is racist" meme. It was enough to actually make me feel like I did hate Scott, and I really never did - I was just exasperated with how the show wrote him. It always made me feel like people were saying that Scott is such a great and wonderful character that obviously the only reason anyone would prefer other characters to him is racism. Which is ridiculous.

What little funny to be had in those memes was watching the response of a lot of Sterek fandom BNFs who- from fear? brainwashing? cynical fandom politicking?- climbed on the bandwagon so that every other word out of their mouths had to be reassurance of their belief in Scott's greatness. People who had never spared Scott an iota of special attention before were suddenly tripping over themselves to plaster their blogs with I'm not racist! I have a complimentary Scott tag! evidence and going on meta binges to shore up their images.....by chastising the rest of Sterek fandom for things that was really a lot of dogpiling by SJW assholes being butthurt that their darling isn't the favorite.
