pantswarrior: Gumshoe looks like he's plotting something. (mischievous)

My girlfriend once corrected someone about this movie not being by Disney and a ridiculous conversation followed.

Her: I mean, do you really think Disney would let them get away with that plot? Pretending to be gods?
Me: See, I just figured that if it was Disney, there would be at least a couple mediocre direct-to-home-release sequels by now.
Her: The horse would have its own TV series...

Pretending to be gods, sure why not. They did Hunchback... you know the movie where Frollo committed genocide and threatened to rape a girl.
pantswarrior: Phoenix's stupid hat covers up the fact that he still has lawyerbrains. (naruhobo)

Fair enough - and I guess the existence of "Hellfire" means they won't completely shy away from anything that has a religious aspect. Though didn't Road to El Dorado pre-date that a bit? I have never been a big Disney fan (my favorites growing up were all the really old ones like Bambi and Lady and the Tramp and Jungle Book) so I don't even actually remember anything's release past Lion King.

Actually Hunchback predates El Dorado by about 4 years (1996 for Hunchback, 2000 for El Dorado).

Hellfire is still one of the best songs from an Animated movie.
