I agree that his hype is very much like Hiddle's hype, but I think that Hiddle is the better actor. But that's a matter of tase, I guess.

Let's face it though, Hiddleston isn't popular because he's a good actor. He's popular because he played Poor Wittle Misunderstood Loki.

Well, yes, but that doesn't make him a bad actor. Just because he's popular for the "wrong" reasons doesn't mean he sucks. Enough people hate him on principle for playing poor woobie Loki.
