I played the whole series twice (that's like, 200 hours) and I'm honestly struggling to remember who they are? They're the ones presiding over Tali's trial ... or?

I'm having trouble remembering them too. Maybe they were on the council overseeing Tali's trial, but in the screenshots they look like they're on the Normandy. So maybe they were in ME3 (in one of the DLC's)? I've only played ME3 once so far...my memory of it isn't the best.

Wait... maybe they participate in the mission where you can re-unite the Geth and Quarians in ME3.

OP

Oh dear you guys make me so sad (although perhaps I should have used pictures of them from ME2, they would have been more recognizable, I just find their ME3 designs so attractive...)

On the left, Admiral Han'Gerrel vas Neema, old friend of Tali's father and staunch supporter at her trial. Pro-war with the geth, eventually starts war with the geth, nearly fires on a geth dreadnought while Shepard and Tali are still on board and may get punched by Shepard for it. The final choice/conflict on Rannoch hinges on convincing him to stand down, if you want to make peace between the quarians and the geth.

On the right, Admiral Zaal'Koris vas Qwib-Qwib, admiral of the Civilian Fleet, wants peace with the geth and believes that the quarians were wrong to attack them in the first place. Against Tali at her trial due to his disagreements with her father, but it doesn't seem to be personal. Tries (along with Tali if she wasn't exiled) to stop the invasion of Rannoch, fails, sacrifices his own ship to take down a geth weapon that was ripping apart his fleet and then nearly sacrifices himself to save his surviving crew, if Shepard doesn't convince him to be rescued. If he dies, it is very difficult to make peace and the quarian civilians take heavy losses without his leadership. Ridiculed as a geth apologist by the other admirals, particularly Gerrel. And yet despite everything he's done the only thing anyone seems to remember about him is "lol he has a silly name"...

......sorry, I have strong feelings about quarian admirals, haha.

TBH a lot of ME3 is a bit blurry to me. I played ME and ME2 at least five times each, but I've only ever finished ME3 the once. I enjoyed the game but was one of the people who didn't like the endings, and didn't have a lot of incentive to play through it again. At least not yet.

Now that you describe them, I do remember them! Not as well as you, though. The civilian fleet guy was pretty badass; can't remember if I saved him or not, but I think I did. Hope I did; he sounds like a great character.

(And Quarian's are hot. Ain't even judging you for that, man.)

well, maybe people might remember or recognize them if they didn't have the exact same body type. people aren't going to recognize two barely distinguishable characters who had, maybe, 25 minutes of screen time.

Some people will! I remembered Kal'Reegar, but these two... Not so much. And Reegar had even less screentime, I think.

Yeah, it's all coming back to me now that you say it. There're just so many minor characters, it's difficult to keep track of all of them ;) But I understand your frustration about the lack of fic --- it sometimes happens to me as well that I become fascinated by a minor character or start shipping people most others don't and it sucks. You can always try writing your own fic, I guess.
