It's just... stupid. It's pandering bullshit engineered to make people feel smart rather than actually informing them. I'm talking about the comics about Facts, not the comics about his dog.

Ah, I see. I always thought they tended more toward lolrandom than actually trying to be informative, so I guess that flew over my head.

I was about to get confused, then noticed he makes comics about other things aside from dogs and shrimps

Well still a bit confused. I thought it was just cute comics about random facts (and his dog)?

I felt that way about the Columbus Day one. I did find most of it informative--I could have told you Columbus was not a great guy I didn't know any of the details. But then at the end he was like, "So let's celebrate some other white guy instead!!" and I felt a little uncomfortable about that.

Especially since there's something of a movement to celebrate it as "Native Peoples Day" which I feel would be much more fitting and would have liked to see him spread the word about, but apparently he didn't bother to find out about it. Well-meaning, but short-sighted.
