Basically if something is tagged X and Y as main characters I want to read about them, not OC or Z, so a fic would be quite awful for me (and obviously I would backspace) if it was

But like if the character had come in midway through and took a major part of the plot, it probably would have seemed weird and lowered my opinion of the story or maybe made me stop reading. It just makes me feel "ugh this is a clusterfuck".
