We haven't gotten anything for any extended family for years, which i hate. I *love* buying presents but...we just can't afford all the nieces and nephews and whatnot - too many people.

that's rough. we have a decent-sized family (my grandma on my mum's side had seven children and five of them went on to have at least two kids) but always managed to send some kind of present that would work for everyone, but now that my cousins are starting to get married and have kids, it's just a lot. especially since we're a single-income family now.

Yeah, i really hate it. I mean, we could do little five dollar dollar store things, but they're so cheap and crappy and what's the point? Not like i can get something they *really* want from the dollar store and, to me, the whole point of gifts is something the person really wants and likes.
