(Anonymous) 2013-11-08 06:22 am (UTC)(link)Can't deny it's not hurtful and I was really upset and confused at the time as I do try to not be all "No religions" or anything. But I guess the fact I marked "yes" to an atheist group event (on FB) was both enlightenment and a big no for her.
(It was just a fundraiser too)
Now I'm just really :( 'cause I don't see why we can't continue to be casual friends since we've never had religion brought up before and I've got plenty of religious friends/family I get along fine with. On the other hand, I'm not sure I want to try to clear the air with her if that was her first reaction? There wasn't any "oh you don't believe, what do you think of..." questions. Just, bam! No longer friends on FB, no longer on MSN and well I haven't tried her number yet.
