I still pick my nose and clean out my ears. They get so clogged up sometimes, I don't know how other people don't feel the need to do so.

....I blow / wipe my nose on the inside of my shirt. I don't usually have tissues on hand and my nose feels weird randomly and...yeah

I think the key is more "not doing it in public" than "not doing it"

How are those gross habits? I guarantee everybody does both of those because those are normal body maintenance things.

Come back when you make a pyramid from your foot shavings and leave it the in bath for three months like a sick decoration. (That was from the last gross habits thread and I'll never forget it because it was so gross and awesome.)

OMG that was me! And I didn't leave it in the bath, I put it on a shelf where it sort of dried out and hardened. I don't know how long it was there, but at some point I noticed it wasn't, so someone must have found it and gotten rid of it. Probably having no idea what it was.

Haha. Someone had a secret about doing something gross in the bath I think and I mixed them up.

But, yeah. I'll never forget the foot shavings pyramid because I'm kind of enamored with that level of grossness. Like, I wanna be friends with you and have foot shaving parties or something.

I have no problem eating in the bathroom, even on the toilet.

I wipe my face/mouth with my shirt/sleeve/hijab. idk if that's gross, but it's how food stains end up on my clothes.

I'm going through fandom and anime withdrawal, so this put the stupid image in my mind of a friend/stalker of yours borrowing your shirt or whatever. They'd be eating a sloppy joe, and then they notice the stain on your clothes and wonder if wiping their own mouth on it would be like a secondary kiss.

I don't even care if it's gross, it's really irritating having my head feel all clogged up and heavy.

I've never had to clean my ears before my current job. Now I've done it 4 times this year alone and I hate it.

Can't wait to get out of this job and it's ear damaging-ness.

What on earth kind of job do you have that regulates your earwax???

Callcentre with tiny, shitty earphones in my ear that are really loud. I have had such giant build up since about a year into this job and the first time it got backed up so bad my ears hurt I had NO IDEA what was wrong or how to fix it since never had to clean my ears before D:

This. I always find I have to duck into the bathroom and clean my ears of earwax.

Seriously, people think it's gross to clean their ears and nose!?!?! Like, people don't do this as their normal cleanliness routine? I clean my nose and ears with a a q-tip practically everyday. I clean my ears with rubbing alcohol usually once a week or so to dry them out, and I rinse my sinuses with saline solution.

I thought this was normal?

so rubbing alcohol works?

I tried it once, but alcohol can take water with it when it evaporates, so I have not used it since. But it does seem to work quite well on stubborn ear wax.

The thought of putting water in my sinuses makes me cringe. Accidentally snorting up pool water as a kid was horrible enough.

Simply blowing my noise is sufficient. But, yeah - who *doesn't* grab q-tip and clean their ears at least once a week? And yeah, i do put it *in* my ear. My dad actually taught us how to clean our ears without puncturing our ear drum.
*rolls eyes*

I dont??? Because I don't need to??? Sometimes I wipe the outside-inside bit with a tissue but ears don't need regular cleaning unless they're being abnormal?

I use warm water and a rubber bulb to clean the inside of my ears (damp washcloth or fingernails for thge outside) and my fingernails to clean my nose but yeah, cleaning those areas is just normal grooming

I think these things are fine if you do them in the bathroom and not at the dinner table.

Everyone picks their nose. Everyone. Sometimes it's the only way to clear it. What makes it gross is doing it in front of other people.

not me, but the girls who live on my floor will a)leave wads of hair stuck the walls of the shower stalls and b) leave the bathroom after pooping without washing their hands. people are so gross!!!
