Which is why her storyline being absolutely boring/pointless is so baffling!

I have to admit that I didn't read the books, nor have I watched more than the first season - everything else I know about this is hearsay. But I really don't get why she doesn't just sit back, wait a few years until the dragons are big enough and then just goes and burns all who would defy her to the ground.
