Not OP, but - dude, in ADWD, after being a total fuck-up as a ruler for the whole book, she suddenly for no good reason can ride her dragon without any spells or similar things (which all other Targaryens needed), simply because she is so incredibly special. So, yeah, she still gets things handed to her that will come in pretty handy later while every other character has to claw their way through hell and get nothing in return.

I didn't interpret her as a total fuckup, I interpreted her as doing her best in an impossible situation.

And dude, she's the mother of dragons, of course she can ride one.

I don't by any means think, "Dany can ride a dragon, now all the problems are solved" is going to be the point of that storyline.
