Tumblr Troubles...?

Is anyone else having problems with not being able to see the majority of notes on a post? Posts on my dashboard seem unaffected, but when I view posts directly on someone's blog I keep stumbling across posts with huge disparities- ie, the post will say that there are 75 notes, but I can only see five or six of them.

If this isn't a widespread glitch, is there something I can do to fix this? Some of the posts it's happening on are image posts where being unable to view the notes doesn't really matter, but some of them are text posts. It's already difficult enough to follow the thread of a discussion on Tumblr, but when you can't see 75% of the conversation it's virtually impossible.

I've been having trouble with notes count since a few weeks ago. I've figured out some of my problems were because of people temporarily deleting their tumblrs for NaNo/Thor spoilers/other reasons. The situation you are describing, I have not yet seen.

I do have read somewhere that liking or reblogging a post will pull notes back from posts that are old and not recently active. (The notes hiding was attributed to freeing up memory in servers or something.) I haven't tried it to see if it will fix the notes problems I am experiencing.
