Actually, some do. You'll get people who refuse to acknowledge any possibility that any prejudice can exist among ethnic or social minorities.

Which is in itself a kind of stereotyping.

When they start assuming that no one who is part of that kind of majority (straight, white, male, etc) CAN be liberal and sympathetic/empathetic to minority issues...i.e. the whole "men can't be feminists, only feminist allies" thing, that was kind of a WTF moment when I first saw that.
