I don't even consider that show Dracula. I would have preferred if they had renamed it, "Grayson" and made it about an English vampire who is revived hundreds of years after his death to plot vengeance on the Order of the Dragon by posing as an American. Barely nothing would have needed to be changed. Just the names. And you would have had an original series. As of now, the producers just want branding in calling it Dracula. And despite all this, I like the show.

I agree and I feel pretty much the exact same way about Elementary

I agree and feel the same way about Elementary and Sleepy Hollow. And Once Upon a Time is doing pretty much the same thing, where the liberties taken are so gigantic it's really just some names and a couple of tropes they grabbed from the "source" material. I'm not sure I like this trend, either make an adaptation or an original story, both are great, but don't pretend one is the other.
