I was really angry yesterday when google linked my professional email (with my real name) to my youtube under a nongoogle email. No permission, just fucking linked them

I don't want my coworkers googling me to get my youtube and it's username - and I equally do not want the internet to have my real name! I would really like to keep work and play separate!

Thankfully I managed to delete my youtube entirely and I made a new one with a fake gmail but I was so pissed off and it took hours to delete google+ so I could delete my youtube channel (the account is still there but looks like blank slate).

It still keeps trying to connect my facebook to gmail. I bet it will do that without permission too

I have apps to block facebook from doing it's "log into random websites and track you" thing

I just want some goddamn PRIVACY and to keep my work life, family life and fun relaxing times SEPARATE.

Yeah. I had to nuke my Youtube when I started repurposing an e-mail for things unrelated to Youtube. It sucked, but I decided it was what I had to do.

This is largely why I don't have my given name on Google at all. My "full name" is fake. It's all just "online me".

If I decide to make a personal email (I suppose I will soon, I won't be able to use my college email forever |D) I'll either make another gmail, or see if I can find something else so I'm not constantly logging out/in (and I'll be able to do email forwarding if I use another site, which is nice)

That was kinda the point behind my "professional" email ;_; as I couldn't use my uni one anymore D:

I didn't realise it was going to link them up. i think cause my youtube email was my recovery email for my gmail? But it didn't even /ask/ ;_; I have other gmails I could have linked it to if it had damn well asked D:
