12. I ship that one in the "playing as Dawn" mode. Partially because it hits two of my sweet spots (rivals and childhood friends), and partially because Pearl's a total dork and I love him.

Yes, I'd be hardpressed to ship Dawn/Pearl if I played Lucas, but when you play as Dawn, it's just so adorable.

Hehe, I honestly think half the reason people ship Dawn/Pearl is because of Pearl. (BEST POKEMON RIVAL EVAR) A blushing Pearl with a happy Dawn just hits that unknown shipper spot in me.

I actually didn't hate the anime, until I started reading the manga.

And I'm not saying it's "godlike," just that it's better. They have a story for every character in the manga, not just some compiled baddies who randomly decide they want to wipe out humans.

Agreed here. It's not being a godlike elitist type, it's simply stating the truth. In this case, the manga IS better.
