I liked the anime, until I started reading the manga.

Now every time I see it, I literally cringe.

I-I really don't want to bash people that like the anime, but I understand this feeling very well. I often look at it and wonder what the hell they were thinking in some cases. ... The random relationships in particular seem like they could've come from a mediocre fanfic.

I agree. I probably was too harsh on anime fans, but I just honestly can't stand it. And it drives me nuts that no one I know reads it because they can't stand the anime.

That's really not fair of them, especially since (you'd think) it's common knowledge that the manga > anime in most cases. :/
