To be perfectly clear here: I'm not AT ALL saying you shouldn't prefer one over the other. And maybe you even find fault with how he is portraying young damaged Spock. But I honestly think it is foolish to compare the two the way some people do. They've been through hugely different experiences, one is a good deal older than the other. Nimoy's Spock is in a comfortable friendly environment with people he trusts, while Quinto!Spock is just learning how to get along. It's just something to consider, you know?

Yeah, but his relationship with Uhura is cringeworthy.

Nimoy's Spock was in his 30s in ToS.

And Quinto's Spock doesn't seem to be that much younger than that? Late 20s, early 30s maybe? He's hardly young and inexperienced by comparison.

this. I think that QuintoSpock is a far more complex and layered character than NimoySpock and that's said by a harcore NimoySpock fan.
