Yes. That's what I was saying. See, just because you say "I enjoy slash without fetishising" it might still register with others as fetishising gay people. Going "I'm doing it right but you you and you are doing it wrong" is incredibly arrogant and judgey. Thus: Who are you to decide who's fetishising gays and who's "just" enjoying slash?

Except I didn't imply or mean to imply that I'm doing it right and others are doing it wrong. I'm simply pointing out that there's quite a bit of fetishizing when it comes to slash. Especially in anime/manga fandoms And that sometimes complaints about it or discussion of it is brushed off. I'm not singling anybody out. I'm sorry if I came off as judgy or anything like that. I'm horrible at wording stuff.

Eh, nah, I'm sorry, I'm a bit tired and cranky and a bit sick of people going "you're just fetishising gay people" all the time" all the time that I overreacted. Stuff goes both ways, I guess, the innocently accused and the people guilty of that behaviour who pretend they aren't.

No worries. Rereading my intial post, I did come off as kinda judgy and I'm sorry for that. It is hard for me to properly put my thoughts into words, especially on subjects like this and when I do, it sometimes comes out horribly.

It is frustrating to be told that and since it happens all the time, I understand why you were angry.
