Thanks anon! Code Geass is mainly Sazu/Lulu which is a shame. Don't get me wrong, I love the pairing too, but especially the second season gave us so many more characters to ship! Especially Gino (he's one of the best things of season two). I'm glad you enjoyed the fic even if you weren't too familiar with the characters.
Uploading to FFN is a pain in the ass. Aside from the fact that they change the process every few years it's so unnecessarily complicated. Basically, you have to upload the document containing the fic first, then, once it's uploaded, you can create a new story. But first you have to confirm that you read the TOS every. single. time. Uploading chapters follows the same principle. If you want to change something (because you noticed a typo or something) you have to make the change in the document, IIRC, and then go to the story and upload the chapter a new using the changed document. If it's been longer than 90 days though the documents are deleted from the server, so if a new FFN updates suddenly screws up your formatting, you have to upload the document a new, etc.
And the formatting is, of course, wonky as ever. I've used the FFN scene break (a line) and have it be eaten when it was posted. As a reader FFN isn't that bad (though I really miss AO3's View Full Work option), but as a writer it's incredibly shitty.

(Anonymous) 2013-11-15 03:49 am (UTC)(link)You're quite welcome. I wasn't sure if I hould leave my comments for your fic here or on AO3. I know how you feel tbh. It is frustrating when a fandom seems to just focus on one or two pairings when there's so many other interesting characters and pairings that could be written. It gets stagnant and dull after a while, imo. But people will write what they want to write. Code Geass foes look like it has a ton of interesting characters! Cornelia looks like such an awesome character. I checked the Code Geass section on ffnet and was surprised at how little fic Gino and Cornelia had. Just damn. I thought Gino would be a bit more popular than that. He seems like the type of character fandom would adore.
Oh my goodness! That sounds like such an absolute hassle. I've thought about attempting to write fic and if I ever finished it, posting it on ffnet. It would reach sa wider audience since the fandom I'd small these days, but going about uploading fic on the site sounds like such a pain. Wait, AO3 got rid of the view full work option? Bummer.
