I promise you, all kids do it. And, they do it in public sometimes too. Kids love touching themselves. It's only after adults made you feel dirty about having genitals and the pleasure you get from touching them that you felt guilty.

Yeah, I mean I know that this is normal and everything but I didn't...? I did once, sort of, indirectly, when I was in elementary school. I didn't really know what I was doing. I think I had also sort of indirect sexual thoughts (again, didn't know what was going on) but I never went through the "oh touching that feels good!" phase at all. (Not trying to rag on those who have or anything.)

I'm definitely a sexual person, so it isn't that. *shrug*

I work in a day care and in the 200+ kids we've had only 2 would masturbate repeatedly at school. (We teachers love to tell each other stuff like this) One was a baby girl who really loved her high chair and the other a boy we would interrupt because he liked the corners of tables. Ouch.

It's totally normal and nothing to be ashamed of (you spent 2+ years of your life shitting yourself every day, lets keep childhood in perspective here) but it is uncommon to see, especially in public.
