I have a favorite fandom where the canon is very well known but there simply has not been a lot of fic written for it. So if someone decides they want fic for that fandom, my choice of recs is very limited, especially if they are looking for a particular pairing or type of fic. This means that I either occasionally rec myself, or no one at all.
