I've never had this particular problem, but I do occasionally imagine the characters getting irked with me over my own fic - mostly my choice of title. For example, I titled a Suits fic after a line from a Hilary Duff song (don't look at me like that, the line itself fit when isolated) and was quite surprised the leads didn't, like, reach out of my TV to throttle me for it.

Or, being lawyers, just sue me for what little I'm worth.
