I don't mind self-recs if they are for very rare pairings or a very specific plotline I want to read.

On the other hand, reccing your own fic continuously is obnoxious. (I'm thinking about a very specific case, I'm not saying every person who recs their fics is that bad, but this person, ugh, you can't talk with her without her talking about her fic, and how her fic gives her feels, and she can't help but ask you how much have you read of my fic? and ugh no, just shut up and go away >_<)
