Someone I know is a serial self reccer. Now there is nothing inherently wrong with self reccing, but they do it in such a way as to raise my hackles/make me roll my eyes/trip my secondhand embarrassment every time.

I don't think it helps that they think their fic is God's gift to the fandom and everyone else is doing it wrong.
