How is genderfluid different to trans?

I mean obviosuly there's a range of emotions and feelings of being born in the wrong body, but isn't that just a spectrum of being trans?

Well, if you're looking at it from a spectrum perspective, you just answered your own question - trans would be at the farther end of the spectrum, and genderqueer would be somewhere in the middle.

Not really. Genderfluid, where the person fluctuates between idenitfying as female and as male, yes. But many genderqueer people suffer strong body dysphoria and don't identify as either male or femaleat any point.

Trans is usually "I was born as male, I identify as female" or vice versa, and the hopeful goal is transitioning. Genderfluid is often fine in their body just not with their gender assignment, but there's no "goal" in transitioning at all (outside of maybe grooming habits and dress)
