I find WTNV extremely comforting. There's something reassuring about the way it acknowledges and accepts how absolutely terrifying life is. Not just life in Night Vale, but life in general- though admittedly it's even more terrifying there.

I don't feel inadequate because I quake in terror everyday at the uncertainty of the endless, abyssal void. Existential fear is a normal and acceptable part of... you know, existing.
