You don't lose your feminist/ally card for writing fucked up ambiguous characters, or being turned on by said fucked up ambiguous characters. You lose it for the "Consensual shota!" bullshit, as everyone else had pointed out.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this idea that people can't write fucked up characters for fear of readers thinking they agree with their views is really sad.

what do you mean there's something wrong with my consensual rape kink???????? I don't care if it's an oxymoron, it's FAAAAANTASY

actually, that's exactly right. it's "fantasy" - rules of what we'd call consent in real life are juggled regularly. Seven year old might be a bit extreme, but I'm not sure I'd call porn rape if it were like, a "consenting" fourteen year old and a twenty-five year old, even though I'd call it rape irl.

This is really off-topic, but what is the difference between a feminist and an ally here? Or are you talking about being an ally for something other than feminism?

Not off-topic! OP mentioned "Trans*!fail". They included a lot of things under the umbrella of "failing feminism" that didn't quite fit for me, but it was clumsy of me to reword it for them.

ah, ok, makes sense. sorry for the confusion ^^;

Yeah, this. Just...maybe try to avoid presenting subjective things ("It's consensual according to these fetish fantasy rules!") in an objective way ("It's consensual!") in the future, OP. I don't automatically think the worst, but it takes effort.

Sorry about that wording. I was running short on space at the pic, but felt it was important to say it's a consensual fantasy. Yes: it's an "it's a consensual story according to this fantasy rules"; not a "children are able to give consent". IRL children cannot consent, I don't like non-con, and wouldn't even think of rping a scenario like this if it were non-con because "underage + rape" hits too close to home.

ia. I think there's a difference between "consensual by rules of the fantasy" - which is totally legitimate in kink - and "consensual". Though tbh I'd kind of assume the first definition if someone was describing the kink to me, like OP - when I read this I gave her the benefit of the doubt and assumed that's what she meant. real life rules don't have to apply to kink, unless we're discussing it from an "outside" perspective, I guess.
