Same. It's very annoying considering I'm a veeeeery casual fan of anime, and have been since I was a kid (they showed anime on TV in my native country).

Yup, especially since they always choose a super-popular anime that it's damn near impossible not to know. And then I feel awkward when I say that's not my thing and tell them what is my thing and they look at me blankly because I didn't say Cowboy Bebop or Fullmetal Alchemist.
