whats wrong with that?? theyre both completely different. da2 was an awesome game.

I doubt OP means there is anything wrong with it, but as someone who made the mistake of being involved on video game forums, Skyrim is treated like a holy relic and DA2 like a crime against humanity. DA2 gets incredible (and I agree undeserved) flack for just about everything - though I don't think it is flawed except for bits that can be traced directly to the very clear rush in production, i.e. smaller maps, repeat dungeons, etc.

Skyrim and DA2 were definitely compared in 2011 (I believe?) all the time because they both were released that year. I agree that in some aspects they can't be compared, some Skyrim is clearly superior, and others, in my opinion, DA2 is superior (for example, actually having a memorable story and great characters... but that's what happens when you have party-tactics vs single character style)

yeah i wasnt aware of that since i dont really participate in forums. i think da2 had some flaws and the storyline was a little lacking imo but i didnt know it was getting a whole lot of flak for it.

i think bethesda and bioware are both really strong within the industry but imo their games are so different in gameplay and plots and such that its difficult to compare them. i love the sandbox gameplay of skyrim and fallout and the general atmosphere but i absolutely adore the romance feature in mass effect and dragon age. plus i think the stories are much better.

They weren't compared much if at all, anon is smoking crack. Any opinion regarding them comes separately, because they're not similar games in the least beyond a general fantasy setting and came out at opposite ends of the year.
