Basically: dirty cop is found out for being a dirty cop and is imprisoned. He vows revenge upon the lawyer who represented the Crown Prosecution Service. Upon getting out of prison, dirty cop finds the lawyer is now a judge. He murders the judge's PA, dumps her body in the boot of the judge's car, hacks into the judge's online diary and makes it look like the judge and his PA had an affair, then calls the police and gives them a tip off.
1. Why vow revenge against the lawyer? Why not against the ones who suspected him in the first place or the ones who found the evidence of him being guilty?
2. No one (apart from what's 'er name who gives the team their cases) thinks, "Hang on...here's a reasonably intelligent bloke who not only doesn't have the sense to dump the body of the girl he's just murdered, but also leaves the body in the boot of his own car which he then parks in his own garage?" And instead of taking the time to, I don't know, alter his online diary which shows evidence of their affair, just goes off to bed with his wife.
3. Assuming the judge was that stupid and it's all true...where did the tip off come from? A witness who just happened to be able to give enough information for the police to identify Mr. Murderer as the judge?
4. The judge was called out at the time of the murder to deal with an alarm going off at his chambers. Why couldn't they prove he was actually called out by the security company or security guard as opposed to "he doesn't have an alibi because he was out of his house at the time"?
Apart from all that, the trope of the Reporter With A Heart of Gold. She's at the murdered girl's funeral with a TV crew/photographers but tries to stop the TV crew/photographers from taking pictures of the bereaved parents. Why was she (complete with TV crew/photographers and microphone) at the funeral then?
There was also the ridiculous sex scene with her bouncing up and down on Jack while wearing underwear. It would have been far better to just have the sound effects without showing the actual scene.
So, I rolled my eyes a lot while watching the ep and didn't bother watching any more eps.
