Re: Is there any character you think would be more interesting as the opposite gender?

I've always wanted to see a legitimate female Sherlock Holmes. I know there was the kids' show that starred his...great grand-niece or something to that effect, but I want Sherlock Holmes, as a woman.

I love that Elementary made Moriarty a woman. But I would love to see a modern female Sherlock Holmes who is like Elementary's Sherlock - brusque, uninterested in romance, sees sex just as a means of physical release, physically fit but sees body and clothing as tools ie she would only dress up sexy if it was specifically for a case/ to manipulate someone. It would also be so satisfying to see her cut down people who underestimate her because she's a woman, yessssss. (Like maybe the Lestrade in this universe patronised her when he first met her and then she solved 5 of his cases for him in 30 seconds and that has formed the basis of their slightly antagonistic relationship since - Lestrade knows he needs her help but deeply resents it because Sherlock can't resist rubbing her genius in his face every now and then.)

Ans to pair her with a male Watson who loves and respects her platonically and she respects back because he doesn't let her walk all over him? Gah. I can't even. Why doesn't this already exist?
